Fall Harvest Honeycrisp Apple Crumble Recipe 

Apple cranberry crisp

  • unsalted butter for baking dish
  • 3 pounds Honeycrisp Apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 12 ounces cranberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon grated orange zest, plus 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
  • 6 tablespoons butter, cold and cut into small pieces
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour, plus 3 tablespoons
  • 2/3 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Preheat oven to 375F degrees.  Butter 9x13 baking dish.  In large bowl, combine apples, cranberries, sugar, 3 tablespoons of flour, vanilla, orange zest, and orange juice.  Transfer to baking dish and sprinkle with topping.  Continue..
