Sour Cream Doughnuts Recipe
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- vegetable oil, 2 quarts
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons cappuccino
Beat together eggs, sour cream, buttermilk, butter and vanilla extract.
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon into bowl of stand-mixer. Fit mixer with paddle attachment. Pour in sour cream mixture. Flick to slow speed. Dough will clump ragged. Increase to medium speed and beat smooth, 2 minutes. Cover and chill 2 hours. Continue...
