YES! I like to go to the library benefit book sales where they sell
used library books and books donated by patrons to help support library
services. When a cookbook has been used, it's easy to find the good
recipes by looking for the pages that have smudges on them or flour in
the "gutter" of the binding. I have recently bought cookbooks on
cooking with whole grains, baking shaped loaves using dough made in a
bread machine, favorite recipes from the Tassajara Monastary and the
Rodale Soups and Salads cookbook. For great culinary reading, try
anything by M.F.K. Fisher, "The Only Texas Cookbook", and "Some Like it
Hotter". I like a little humor with my cooking!
