Pecan Pie Recipe 

 Pecan pie 
  • 1 pie crust (store bought, refrigerated)
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 3/4 cup whole dates, pitted and chopped
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel

Preheat oven to 350F degrees.  Place pie crust in 9-inch glass pie plate.  In large bowl, beat softened butter and brown sugar with mixer on low speed until well mixed.  Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Reduce speed to low and beat in corn syrup, corn starch, lemon juice and vanilla until well blended.  Continue...
