[realfood] Re: Sprucing up vegetables

For green vegetables (green beans, Swiss Chard, Brussels sprouts, etc)
I like to add a spoon of toasted sesame seeds and a splash of dark
sesame oil.
Another good combo is toasted almonds and a dash of balsamic vinegar.
Depending on your tastes and what vegetables you are using, you might
also garnish with one of the following: chopped black or green olives,
chopped bell pepper or green chilis sauteed in olive oil or butter,
chopped fresh cilantro, sour cream mixed with a little crumbled blue-
veined cheese, dried cranberries, or shelled sunflower seeds.
A little crunch or color contrast brings out a different personality in
your veggies.
What do you have? Just throw it on!
