[realfood] Re: What's Your Secret Ingredient?

I do a lot of little things in the kitchen that I don't see other folks
do since I'm an experimenter. One that I picked up from my grandmother
was learning to make her gravy for Thanksgiving. I use a bit (I can't
tell you exactly how much...LOL) of tomato paste as a thickener in the
gravy. Gives a sweetness and a bit of a tang to the gravy that's hard
to describe, but I grew up loving it and now my kids love it too!
