[realfood] Re: Hey Group ! I'm having a greek party for my b/f ! It's his birthday, I need help

The great part is that most of the components of Greek food are the
same as most Mediterainean foods. So go to a Whole Foods and they
can totally set you up. Fresh veggies and grilled meats are popular
as well. I would actually BUY half ready made and prepare the larger
dishes. Buy lots of olives, pita or flat breads, get rosemary and
make dipping oils. Prepurchse the olive paste,hummus/taboli,
Baklova's at the pastry shop. Trust me its labor intensive enough
with out all that. Get some Uzo (liquor) and slice up some fresh
lemons in "round thin slices" togo into the glasses, not wedges like
here in the usa. Best wishes

THINK finger foods, and keep it simple, trust me.... it can be hard
if you make it that way.
